Wildlife World Hogilow Hedgehog Home As Featured On Autumn Watch

There are far better houses out there
I am a hedgehog carer, have been for several years and I have one of these houses along with 8 other types.
This house looks good but is too small inside, needs support under the entrance to stop it wobbling and does soak up water from the ground(as do many others). I now only use my one indoors in a cage for hedgehogs in care.
My advice if you're looking for a well made quality house is to buy a Riverside Woodcraft house as they are the best made houses I have come across(I absolutely have no connection with them in case you are wondering)
All hedgehog houses will need some further roofing( a cut of roofing felt draped over it will do) and a decent surface to site them on. A flagstone or one of those aluminium grid like doormats is better than putting directly onto the soil as damp will soak up through the base like a sponge.check your houses regularly for damp and re site, add protection or make alterations as necessary. Hedgehogs will not use a damp house. I hope...
Excellent Item
This is great, I bought it for a rescue hedgehog so she could have somewhere safe to live, and she took to it right away. The recycled plastic makes it fantastic against the elements, it stays nice and dry inside. I can add some hay for bedding and insulation via the sliding top which is simple and well-designed.
A brilliant purchase, highly recommended.
Very nice
Could not believe that there is a hedgehog in my garden especially since I have dogs!! however as he or she is now taken up residence, I went on internet to see what I could do for him [feeding etc.] Went to a well known store for food and looked at their hedgehog homes which for 25pnds did not look like much. Saw these on Amazon [the reviews where good] and even though more expensive decided to buy one. It arrived quickly and have to say I am not disappointed with it, I am not an expert but it looks well made and sturdy. I have put it on a flagstone as the bottom is wood to protect it rains alot where I live, put some straw in it and am now hoping that hedgie will make it his or her home.
