Hills J/D Reduced Calorie Canine Prescription Diet 12 Kg


Amazing!!!
I was advised by a vet to try my 5 year old Labrador on this prescription diet food as he was diagnosed with very minimal, early onset arthritis. Within a month, he had lost weight, had an amazing shiny coat and had stopped limping! He has now been on this product for 5 months and really is in the best form ever. People comment on his coat, energy and how lean and healthy he looks. I really am amazed that changing his diet has worked such wonders, but we have not changed any other area of his life and he was on no medication. It's definitely worth a try!
My dog loves it, not me
Excellent for my dog who has arthritis in her back leg. I am sure the biscuits help her a lot. The delivery and service were great.
Not for all dogs
We purchased Diet J/D for our chocolate labrador Coco (typical Ganet) as instructed by our Vet as she was 3kg too heavy.

We introduced the new food slowly, mixing it at first with her old food for a couple of weeks then served the recommended portions. Within two weeks on J/D only, Coco developed a very dry and itchy skin and sores with loss of hair on her back. She was at the time also being given some Metacam for arthritis. The combination also made her vomit a few hours after ingesting her meals. We could not assess whether the dog food or the drug, or the combination of both made her skin react and affected her stomach, so we stopped using the J/D food for a couple of weeks and her condition improved very quickly.

A shame as the food seemed to have the right effect, i.e. losing weight. Chocolate Labradors tend to be hyper-sensitive unlike other Labradors. So it might be that J/D is not suitable for Chocolate Labradors. Speaking with our Vet, it is not the...
