Tortoise food supplement
I decided to place a review of this product after I saw one customer complain and give this form of tortosie food 1 star. In addition the advice was given that "we" should not feed our tortoise this form of food but just feed them weeds. I have been keeping tortoise for around 4 years and I have two Russian tortosie of around 4 years old. They really enjoy this product and I place a small amount in a saucer with water and the pellets absorb the water and this is an ideal way to make sure that my tortoise get sufficient fluids. I live in a warm country and so have to buy good supplements like this through Amazon as natural grass is not available in my area. In addition the weeds out here may have been sprayed with pesticides and so I would not risk feeding my tortoise weeds. My tortoise live on my balcony and are to an extent "free range" and so have natural sunlight to warm them and not artificial lamps. A good addition to fresh fruit and veg
I usually feed my tortoise a handful of fresh veg each day, but sometimes top up its diet with these. My tort loves them, but don't forget to soak them in water to make them easy to eat.
They can leave a messy residue to clean up, but if the pet loves them then it's worth it.
