Great Value
By purchasing this large bag, I saved a fortune. Especially when I compared it to the price that vets charge. My cat can't eat red meat, so when this came along it was a god send. Well done James Wellbeloved.
The product itself is great, but beware of the new packaging!
For years we've fed our cats JWB, we've never had any problems with it, our cats love it and it really makes a difference to their coats.
We always bought the 10kg bag as it'd last us a good few months, buying the 10kg was always much cheaper than buying the smaller bags, so we always bought in bulk.
However, since the new packaging had been introduced, I'm sorry to say but we've been had by the fact the 10kg bag no longer has an option to reseal once opened. The old bag (shiny metallic type) had the press and seal, which worked great. We ordered 2 x 10kg bags recently, and spent ages looking for where the seal was to open it, it never appeared. As their bags are very thick, understandable to hold 10kg worth of food, they're virtually impossible to seal fully.
We now have 10kg worth of food we're unable to seal and had to buy air tight storage containers to save the food going to waste.
I emailed JWB over this and their response was to simply pass it on to the...
This is what I give my cat
My cat gets one sachet of wet food every evening and a portion of these which last him 24 hours. This is great quality stuff which means I don't feel bad that the wet food is generally Felix or Whiskas! Sometimes I mix in a small box of Go Cat just to give him a bit of variety because the 10kg are big and last about 3 months. But buying in bulk mean really good quality food for the same price as Go Cat so... he's worth it.
The only downside - and the minus star - is that it's almost impossible to seal the bag again so it has to go in a recycling bag that I tie up real tight, decanting a weeks worth at a time into a big tupperware container.
