Interpet Fish Pod Glass Aquarium - Fish Pod 48 Litre

Fish Box 40cm or 48 litre
A very substantial aquarium which looks especially good on the night light. The PF1 filter that comes with the pack gave us two problems. Interpet had packed the rubber suckers attached to the cradle! The undersized suckers would not grip the glass, and had to be exchanged at store!
After 4 hours use the PF1 became noisy, and the vibrations could be heard through the glass, even when holding the PF1 underwater, and away from the glass!
Our store exchanged the PF1 for a Fluval U1 at no cost to us, the suckers were in a bag, and bigger than the PF1.

Another design flaw, in my opinion, is the cable tidies on the frame, they are in the wrong place!
Great tank, so far so good.
I bought this tank after having a 60 litre bio-orb which was starting to get scratched and seemed to need cleaning every week. My two goldfish around 4/5 inches seem happy in it. The delivery time was great, ordered on a sunday night, arrived wednesday morning. Unlike some other people who have bought it on here, mine has arrived with nothing broken although the padding inside was just a few air-filled plastic bags so I guess it could get damaged if handled a bit roughly. I haven't found the filter to be noisy at all and the suckers have kept it in the same position without any problems. The flow can even be adjusted to pump more or less. As far as cleaning the tank, I used to find the bio-orb difficult to clean as the small hole at the top made it hard to get your arm in properly whilst with this one the lid covers the whole of the top of the tank and is hinged. It also looks like there is only a couple of small screws to remove and you can lift the whole lid off. The capacity is...
Great all in one kit...
As the title of the review suggests I'm very pleased with my purchase of the Interpet Fish Pod 48l. I've only had it just over a week and today added my first inhabitants who are happily getting used to their new home.

For a first aquarium (or in my case a quarantine aquarium) its the perfect package as it includes everything you'll need to get your aquarium up and running straight out of the box (except for substrate). It was very easy to set up with good instructions included, taking less than an hour to be up and running, it was then just a case of getting the water conditioned to a level acceptable for the fish. There is a water conditioning additive included along with another additive to promote the growth of the helpful bacteria in the filter unit.

Having read the other reviews I was concerned that it may be damaged in delivery, however I'm glad to say mine turned up fully intact with everything well packaged, so it may be that Amazon have changed couriers...
