I bought this for my new cat, so he would have decent shelter from the rain in the garden. It's well made, & the pre-drilled bolt/screw holes matched up perfectly. It only took 20 minutes to construct, including time to go & find a spanner (10mm) & screwdriver. The smell of bitumen was very strong when it arrived, so Ive put it in the garden to air it, & the smell is lessening.
PS. To attach the lid catch easily - leave the floor out, screw the catch to the lid first, & turn the house upside down to work out where to attach it inside.
My tortoise loves his new house
I bought this house for my adopted rescue tortoise. I made it up about a week before he arrived and left it open in the garden to air out. It did smell very strongly of wood stain/preserver, but was fine before he moved in. I like the fact the floor comes in two so it will be easy to change his bedding and clean out any mess. The flap up lid is great for checking he's in there without having to bend down and peer in. The house is very easy to build although we did have a bit of a headscratch over how to fit the prop/stay leg for keeping the lid up. We managed though and the overall effect is great. A sturdy little home for not just rabbits, guinea pigs or chickens.
IDEAL SMALL ANIMAL HOME
THESE ARE VERY WELL MADE, AND SO REASONABLY PRICED. I LIKED THIS PRODUCT AS YOU CAN OPEN THE TOP IF YOU NEED TO GET THE ANIMAL OUT EASILY BUT ALSO THE BOTTOM IS REMOVABLE FOR CLEANING. WOULD WORK FOR ANY SMALL PET. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS. FAST DELIVERY AND WELL PACKED.
