Habistat Pulse-Proportional Thermostat

Consistent temperature control for your viv - superb
I've been using a standard Habistat Mat-Stat to control the viv temperature for corn snakes for sometime. The Mat-Stat does the job, but I'm a stickler for accuracy and in my experience the on/off operation of the Mat-Stat allows for too varied a temperature swing as the heat-mat switches on and off, resulting in a temperature output of between 25-30C.
Corn's can generally deal with this ok, but I strive for accuracy so decided to upgrade to the Habistat Pulse Proportional thermostat - and what a good choice it turned out to be!

The Pulse Proportional stat is simplicity in itself to install and use. Basically the thermostat connects direct to a mains outlet and has a trailing socket from the unit, into which the heat source is plugged (heat-mat in my case, but good for ceramic heaters too; NOT heat lamps, see note below)...
Lizards love it
Keeps temp spot on, easy to set up, pets look happy and a lot cheaper than pet shops came within the week.
Good value
Good value and reliable. I had a different type and couldn't rely on it so had to try different type
