now a lovely thin collie
I took my collie to the vets she weighed 29.4kg. She was surposed to be 22.5kg. She had been on bakers wieght control for 8 weeks and lost 2kg. All I had done is swopped food and added 3 extra 5 min walks as she has very bad artheritis in hips. Also cut out normal treats and gave her a carrot a day instead, 9 month later she was down to her ideal wieght. I have kept her on wieght control since so she doesn't put wieght on again but just give her slightly more food, so she doesn't loose any more wieght. Hope this helps.
Good product but poor storage
Our two labs have done well on Baker's light and it is a very good product. HOWEVER, when we received the ten bags from Amazon, two of them had been "got at" not just through the cardboard, but also through the very thick plastic sacks containing the dog food. This was obviously done by something larger than a shrew so we did not feel we could take the risk of feeding this to the dogs in case it was contaminated. We reported to Amazon who sent replacements but our concern was that these had been stored for a little while, probably in a barn, where there was obviously vermin of some sort. One of the two replacements had similar damage on the cardboard packaging but thankfully the plastic sack was still in tact. For me, I will not buy on line again but from my local supplier where I can check the integrity of the sacks.
just the job
My little dog suffers with moderate panccreatitus and I have tried him on a range of fairly low fat dog foods.Bakers low fat senior chicken and rice seems to do the trick!
